Websites by Kile Halliday

Websites that make your business easier to choose.

I build clear, custom websites for small businesses without turning the project into a giant agency production. We figure out what the site needs to say, make it look like your business, build it properly and get it launched.

THE SHORT VERSION

Usually the problem is simpler than it looks.
The practical pitch

You probably don't need more website. You need a better one.

A lot of small-business sites aren't failing because they need another twelve pages. People can't immediately tell what the business does, the important information is buried, or the site feels older than the business does.

Clear structure

People can find what they came for without doing archaeology.

Good writing

We explain the business like normal humans instead of a committee.

Thoughtful design

It looks intentional without looking like every other template.

Built to stay simple

No unnecessary pile of plugins and moving parts quietly plotting against you.

A few websites

The useful kind of proof.

What's included

From “we need a new site” to an actual new site.

01

Figure out what we're making.

Business, customers, current site, pages, priorities and the thing the site actually needs to accomplish.

02

Make it look and sound right.

Custom design plus help shaping the words. A half-finished Google Doc is a perfectly acceptable starting point.

03

Build the thing.

Responsive site, forms, menus, links, search basics and practical pieces handled.

04

Launch it.

Domain, deployment, redirects and the final details. When we're done, the site and files are yours.

What if the brand needs help too?

That's allowed.

A website can only work with what we give it. If the logo, colors, typography or basic identity need attention before we build, I can handle that as part of the project.

Sometimes that's a small refresh. Sometimes we're starting over. We'll decide before work begins and price it accordingly.

Fresh photos help. A lot.
Need photos too?

Please don't build a new website around twelve-year-old phone pictures.

Alli handles photography for Day Sparks. If the new site needs fresh photos of the food, space, products or people, we can plan the photography around the website instead of figuring out afterward where everything might fit.

Who you're working with

Kile Halliday

I'm the person designing the site, writing with you, building it and answering the email. Day Sparks stays deliberately small because I like knowing why every decision is there.

“If the website needs a map to explain the website, we've probably gone too far.”

FAQ

The questions that actually matter.

Most small-business projects are built over a few focused weeks. Your scope will include a realistic target timeline before work begins.

No. You need to give me the facts and the real business context. I'll help turn that into useful website copy.

No, but good photography helps enormously. If you're local and need it, Alli can handle that as part of the project.

You do. When the project is paid, the finished site and files are yours.

No required Day Sparks subscription. If the site has unavoidable third-party costs such as a domain or hosting, you'll know what they are before launch.

You don't need to know how many pages you need or what platform the site should use. Tell me about the business and what you'd like to make better.
