Photography by Alli Halliday

Photos that look like your place on a really good day.

I photograph food, drinks, spaces and the people behind them for restaurants, bars, cafés, wineries, hotels and other hospitality businesses. Natural, useful photos that still look like the place you actually run.

Beautiful. Believable. Still your place.

I like photos that feel polished without feeling arranged within an inch of their life. Good light, real people, beautiful food and whatever little details make a place feel like itself.

“Make it beautiful. Keep it believable. Bonus points if somebody gets hungry.”

What I photograph

The whole reason somebody wants to be there.

Food + drink

Menu items worth choosing.

Food, cocktails, wine, beer, coffee, specials and the things you're especially proud of.

People

The humans behind it.

Owners, chefs, bartenders, staff and candid moments during service.

Place

The room matters too.

Dining rooms, bars, patios, hotel spaces, storefronts, exteriors and all the details that give somewhere character.

Most shoots include some of all three. A restaurant isn't just its plates, and a hotel isn't just its rooms.

The Neighborhood Shoot

Enough photos to actually do something with.

$275

Or $350 in agreed local trade for nearby hospitality businesses.

Why the trade option?

Because good local businesses don't always have a spare marketing budget, and I'd rather make something useful together than make the price the reason we never do. The trade is agreed before the shoot starts.

Need something bigger? Multiple locations, a hotel property, a full-day shoot or a larger menu can be quoted separately.

The process

Very little production about the production.

01 / WE MAKE A LIST

Tell me what the pictures need to do.

We'll make a loose list so the important things don't get forgotten.

02 / I PHOTOGRAPH IT

Planned shots. Real moments.

We'll get the must-haves and leave enough room for the things that happen naturally.

03 / YOU GET THE GOOD STUFF

Edited and ready to use.

I send the finished set within seven days, ready for the website, social media and marketing.

Need the website too?

The photos can be planned for the page before the shoot happens.

Kile handles websites and brand work for Day Sparks. If you need both, we can plan them together so I'm photographing what the site actually needs — wide images for headlines, people where copy needs space, the right menu items, the exterior and the details.

THE LANE

Specialization helps people know why to call.
Hospitality is the thing

Restaurants, cafés, bars, breweries, wineries, hotels and food businesses.

Places where the experience matters as much as the thing being sold.

Looking for weddings, family portraits or a giant studio product catalog? I'm probably not your photographer — and that's okay.

FAQ

The practical stuff.

Usually not. Some images are easier before opening; other moments are much better when the place has people in it. We'll plan around your business.

No. Tell me what you need the pictures to do and I'll help build the list.

Within seven days for a Neighborhood Shoot.

Yes. The Neighborhood Shoot is designed for ordinary business marketing use: website, social channels, menus, email and business listings. Any unusual licensing need can be discussed before the shoot.

We agree on the trade before the shoot. It can be restaurant credit, gift cards or useful merchandise that makes sense for both sides.

Let's make something look good

What are we photographing?

Tell me about the business and what you're hoping to get out of the shoot. You don't need to know exactly which photos you need yet. That's part of my job.

Your message goes directly to hello@daysparks.com and is not added to a marketing list.
